Recent busy times at Lakeview have had a direct correlation with my lack of blogging lately. Things have heated up on the pastor search front. In the last few weeks we have visited a candidate’s home church, invited him up for an intense theological interview, and then (last night) voted as a committee to recommend him to the church this coming Sunday.
We now are moving on to the next phase of the search: negotiating a salary, presenting a compensation package to the church, and explaining to the church why we are recommending a pastor who is a good thirty years younger than his predecessor.
I’ll blog on each of these items in the coming days.

I've been praying for your PSC at work. I will step up the prayers as the church seeks direction--sounds promising.
It sounds like you're closer to taking a great big breath and adding one more experience to your extensive resume. I'm looking forward to hearing more as hopefully this new era in the life of your church begins.
Thanks for the comments and prayers. I find I'm sorely lacking in financial knowledge for full time pastors (I was always bivo). So I may solicit your advice on some of the stuff I'm dealing with.
