Squealer has lately begun using words both as a cudgel and a scalpel against his sisters
An example of each:
A cudgel…
Squealer: “Daddy, is chickenhead a bad word??”
Me: “Ummm…..no, not really.”
Squealer (turning to Scooter) “You CHICKENHEAD! You’re a CHICKENHEAD, CHICKENHEAD, CHICKENHEAD, CHICKENHEAD!!!!!!!!!!!”
And as a scalpel
Squealer: “Skeeter, you’re a BUTTon-HEAD”
Me: “Squealer, you’re one syllable away from a spanking…..”
"Head" is the preferred suffix of choice, rendering most any word into an expletive.
